Back when I was 22 I started going to school at the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE ROLL!!). My goal was to become a history teacher. It is something I had always wanted to do. I met my now ex wife, we got married and I dropped out of school so that I could support my new family. I got into IT because I ahd always been good with computers, got certifications and experience under my belt and started making good money.

Fast forward 9 years. I am 31 now and divorced. I have been unhappy in the IT field for at least the last 5 years. My problem was/is the money is way to good to just up and quit. Well, starting the fall of 08, I am enrolled at the University of Alabama-Huntsville. I am going to finish my history degree and get my master's and teaching certificate all at one time. It is about time I did something that makes ME happy. It is gonna be weird being one of the oldest peopla in classes with a bunch of 18 and 19 year olds ixed in with with some 20 somethings here and there. I am also nervous because I will be working full time and going to school full time. So wish me luck. I know the rewards of having my degree and teaching will be totally worth it!
