I'm so glad that this is common. We just got our puppy on Wed and yesterday we tried to walk her and she did not walk! I just thought that all dogs automatically knew how to do this- I'm obviously learning fast!
We went and purchased a harness last night- I didn't want to tug on her neck. We'll keep trying.
