I had English bulldogs once. They are not the greatest of guard dogs. Most of them are just happy go lucky type dogs. If you live in a hot area in the summer, they cant stay outside as the heat can kill them. They have huge amounts of health problems so you need to be very careful and only buy one from a reputable breeder that stands by his/her dogs. A few health problems are: spina bifida, cherry eye, too small trachea, collapsing trachea, skin problems,digestion problems and hip dysplasia. Bulldogs cant swim, they will sink like a rock. They are one of the sweetest breeds. I love their personalities. I think they are a little to rambunctious to be around Yorkies as they might step on one and injure it. |
