Dogs will always drink more on kibble because there is no moisture in it. They also drink more water on higher protein and grain-free foods. I'm all for high-protein, grain-free diets but I think they are best fed in a moist form such as raw or canned. Mine are on raw and they don't drink a whole lot of water because they get so much moisture from their food
