 Run of the House!
I have 3, 1 male Artie, the Father, he's 4 yrs. old and 2 females, Abigail is the Mother and she's 3 yrs. old, Tiffany Aloha is their daughter she's almost 2 yrs. old. All 3 of them have full run of my House. I am usually with them most of the time except when I go to work-partime @ night, 3 times a week.
At one time I had 5, 3 of them being Puppies I crated all 3 of them b/c I did'nt
trust them and I felt better knowing that they were safe and locked up. I have always left Artie & Abigail out, and crated Tiffany until she was fully Trained. I don't worry about them when I am gone b/c I know they are well behaved and Trained as well as Socialized. They are a Family so they never fight in any way.....they never have since they all get along with each other.
Luckily they were never destructive, except for their "Teething Phase". They do have alot of "Private Places", a couple of cubbie holes or caves? I still have their crates out and open for them to use, but they are never locked in there. I do beleive in Crate Training, but I don't believe a Dog should spend alot of time in one. I have a really good relationship with all 3 of them seperately as well as together as a Pack. |
