I am no expert but I'd say it's because she is just a puppy. Mine chewed on everything that came close to their mouths (table legs, doors, shoes, even my DVD recorder cables). My house looks like I run a day nursery, with toys everywhere upstairs and down, just to keep them busy and out of trouble. Madeline, at almost a year, still takes a pork chewy to bed every night, like a little kid and a pacifier.
