when i get a new addition to my family (or any responsible pet owner lol), i make sure that i am the forever home and that i have the funds necessary to take care of it-for food, water, vet shots and any emergency care. it just blows my mind that when some ppls pets get injured they are so callous and indifferent about the pet- its the owners responsibility to do whatever is necessary to help that poor animal in emergency situations! they will leave it to die, or just euthanize it right away because its cheaper than trying to give it a second chance.

im glad you kept her number (smart thinking!) and that she did take it to the vet. Heck, im glad that she even elected for surgery, i figured that considering the way she acted she would just put it down.. so sad.
