I took Rose for a checkup the other day. She was 40 days since the first tie. I just wanted to touch base and schedule an xray with the vet. She palpated Rose and said her uterus is definately swollen but couldnt feel any pups to ensure pregnancy. The next thing she stated kinda threw us(husband was there also). "The puppies may be dead, so just keep watching her". wow from what I know you can only palpate at 3-4 weeks. correct? then you do have to wait for xray and movements. Was this a normal response from a dr?
