So how long did it take to get Eddie so well trained? I love how you can do the come, then before he reaches you, you can get him to stop and sit till you say come again. Now you should enroll in the dancing lessons.  |

Our snow melted fast. We had a foot to a foot and a half fall on April 25th, and it was gone a week later. Now it's downright pleasant, although I don't think we've hit 60 yet.
Eddie is 4. He took his first obedience class at 11 months, and he's taken a total of about 76 weeks of various classes, from attention to agility. For that much training, he's no superstar but he has his moments. We learned that emergency sit command in our most recent class, which was called Proofing. It's my new favorite command. If I can get him to do it all the time, it could save his life.
