I think that the price is justified. If you only have 500 dollars to spend maybe its not time for you to get a puppy. Dogs are expensive! You have to not only purchase the dog but then they need toys, blankets, food, dishes ect. Not to mention the vet fees after you get the little one. Vet fees range usually in the 100's for your first couple of trips and then, god forbid if they ever got hurt or sick then your talking big bucks. Do a little more research into owning a dog before you go out and purchase one. I know Tino was definately worth every penny but they are a very expensive breed of dog and you have to be able to properly care for them and that definately involves cash! |
Amen sister!! That's exactly what I wanted to say. I spent a little less than a thousand for Ranger (in Idaho) and within five months I spent over $1500 in vet bills. Luckily, I had lots saved up so haven't had to go into debt! BTW, these expenses were from routine vet appointments, and a couple emergencies that were not from genetic defects. It adds up quickly! Make sure you don't extend yourself completely on the price of the pup, that's why I would make sure to have a couple thousand saved prior to getting your puppy. I know others can attest to the cost of these teeny little guys!
Good luck.
