The oral medicine we used was ITRACONAZOLE. The vet did NOT want to use Griseofulvin on him because it is really strong and there can be side effects. The link mentions both medicines. One of my friend's puppies also had ringworm and her vet prescribed Diflucan. I think that is newer, but a good one too.
