I think people use retractable in inappropriate situations sometimes and they can't keep control of their pets...inevitably someone get hurt...strangled...bit, hit by cars.
Retractables are great when there is a wide open space that isn't quite suitable for off leash.
Any other time, I stick with tried and true standard leashes. Lot's of control and I've never had one of my babies get hurt or hurt someone else. |
Thats a great post. I never use a retractable leash becuase I want her by my side all the time. Bella has a huge back gard to run and play in, but when she is on leash she is never in a place that she can run on a retractable leash without other dogs being there, so I jsut dont have one!
