These may not be "fun" stuff but I bought a doggy first aid kit, children's benadryl, plain canned pumpkin and I also visited the vet and the emergency vet center I was going to be using for Lucy and got a magnet for the emergency vet to keep on my refrigerator along with the poison control number... Ack-I sound morbid!
Okay, other stuff...I bought a carrier and the small lookout car seat with a padded harness since I knew she would be in the car with me from day one. I knew she would outgrow it but I didn't care. Gheesh-I still feel like "safety Captain Kathy"
Fun stuff! I bought little t-shirts, a stroller, little doughnut beds for her to curl up on the couch, did I mention way to many t-shirts?
