Sunnie, that must have been (and I'm sure still is) so painful for you. It's terrible when we do all we can and it's still not enough. This was the first time I've related the story about Dani because it's still very painful to think about and posting her picture just ripped me open all over again. I'm very sorry to hear the way your mentor responded to you. I'm sure it was the last thing you needed to hear. My mentor has told me, "You have to be hard, Jim" but I guess I'm just an old softie. After Dani's passing, I resolved to myself 'never again' and have made every effort to be the best breeder I can be. I feel it's the only way to honor her memory and, like you, not a day goes by that I don't think of her. It's also reassuring to know that if I ever need help, I can find it right here. We don't get any do-overs but we do get the chance to do better. I'm glad to see you haven't given up. The Yorkie world needs more caring people such as yourself.
