I just took lily to the vet for this issue she was nibbling her paws and scratching a little. My vet said it is definitely allergies but the only way to tell what the problem is is to do food tests, skin scrap and or blood work. You can put them on Rx food and if it goes away you will know it is definitely the food and not environmental. Then my vet said we would then introduce her to knew things gradually until we figure out what triggers it, it is much less $ to do this than get the tests done.As long as they are not sever allergies.
