If you can't afford to spend more than that, what are you going to pay the vet bills with when he/she needs shots, heartworm meds., flea meds, daycare, food, toys, clothes, other health issues?
Money shouldn't be the number one reason to buy a dog. They are a new addition to your family. The decision shouldn't be based on which one was the cheapest! Gesh, would you buy a kid that way? Your new doggie will be there for nearly as long as a child would.
