Ava does this. If I leave her loose in the house when i leave its a non-stop concert of barking until I return, even if someone else is home. If I leave her in my bedroom, she will lay down and sleep. She sleeps with me at night and I think she associates my room as a quite space. Maybe she should try leaving her baby confined where she sleeps.
