I guess I'm not sure what you all expect NV to do? They grind the bones which many believe makes them safer to eat than a whole raw meaty bone. But when you grind something you are bound to get fragments of different sizes, and I guess there is always the potential for fragments to be sharp. They can't remove the bones from their products because it would totally defeat the purpose of a raw diet. This is the first time I've heard of a dog getting a cut from a bone fragment in the medallions...I'm sorry it happened, but I think there is a risk with any food, toy, or treat you choose to give your dog...no matter what it is. There is always going to be the rare possiblity that something wierd could happen with any product. I just don't think bone fragments are a big risk personally...I've been extremely happy with NV raw and have seen great results in my own pets from it (and have heard great results from others as well).
