Keeping all the puppies doesn't get a breeder off the hook either. Keeping puppies haphazardly bred does prevent others from having to deal with the heartbreak you produced, but that doesn't stop the pain and suffering the DOGS have to go through...puppies born that have issues like collapsing trachea, liver shunt, luxating patella, etc. etc. are going to feel pain no matter whose home they are in

Purchasing from backyard breeders, pet shops, and puppymills perpetuates the suffering of other dogs.
Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
