It sounds like your vet should do extensive blood work on her to make sure it is not an illness causing this odd behavior. After that, you and the vet should discuss trying a very small dose of Prozac or Clomicalm, the latter being an antidepressant for dogs. These drugs have been lifesavers for many dogs who developed strange idosyncracies. They provide relief from the behavior, during which time you should try to work on behavior modification. It takes a month before you would see any changes from these meds, and when her behavior changes for a while, and you decide you want to see if you can take her off the meds, they must be slowly decreased.
