| Help with cutting nails... My wee yorkie is 18mths old and i used to take her to my local pet parlour to get her nails done, but she gets very distressed each time they cut her nails. While i was at my mothers, i took her to the vet to get her nails clipped as they dont have a pet parlour nearby, and she got very distressed again. The vet said as she get so distressed it would be better to not bother cutting her nails and as i walk her on the road that should keep her nails down. So i tried that and sure enough her nails arent giving her any bother apart from the dew claws. I can sometimes managed to cut the odd of her nails while shes in the bath but its never a whole foot let alone all her paws! And the dew claws do worry me as they grow curly and i worry they will dig into her skin. The vet said i can get them removed if i want, which im considering.
So any help/ideas on trimming her nails and dew claws would be greatly appreciated! |
