He told me, "I don't know what you're doing, but it's working."

All I did was switch to kibble, so I assumed it was the chewing of the kibble, but maybe it's something else? Like enzymes created from a higher quality food? I honestly don't know. But I know that his flatulence is also gone, and he hasn't had a bout with diarrhea since I stopped supplementing the kibble with canned. He had terrible incontinence for a while. But those things could all be because a high-quality kibble is better than a low-quality canned. I dunno.

Also, were any of the canned proponents worried during the Menu Foods scare? I was awfully happy that I was on a kibble when that was going on because that was virtually all canned or packaged wet food.
Yes, I would recommend a high-quality kibble over a low-quality canned for sure. But comparing a premium kibble with a premium canned, I'd definitely go with the canned. And I very much recommend grain-free canned.

So far as best foods to feed go, a raw diet is #1 to me. Homecooked is #2. Premium grain-free canned is #3. Premium canned (w/ grain) is #4 and then premium kibble after that.

I feed a raw diet...the only one of my pet's that gets any canned at all is one of my cats who gets some canned in the evening (and I only do this because I get a lot of the Evo grain-free canned for free...saves me a little money by feeding her the canned for one meal).
