I'm glad you posted this! I've noticed those "balls" too on A.J and have wandered what they are.
On a side note, I had A.J neutered at 6 months old and he's always squatted to pee UNTIL recently...the neighbors beside us just moved in with a male german shepard that is constantly marking his territory. I've noticed that A.J has started to lift his leg now too!
