I'm very glad you haven't had any issues with the bone fragments, however the bone fragments in this particular bag were sharp, as they caused a nice cut in Kia's mouth. It has caused her some intestinal distress; passing mucousy stool. I've had Yorkies for 27 years and have never experienced one getting a cut in their mouth from any type of food.
