I have a very close friend who has had several heart attacks and did much the same. She really went into a cacoon for awhile. She has to adjust to the shock of almost "loosing" it all.
My advise...try to think of what she's going thru and forget the "thank you."

I had not considered that. You may be right. My mother went through something similar when she almost died from a heart attack. She withdrew from the world, we both did because I was the one that found her. I suppose my friend may be focusing her attention on other things to avoid thinking about what has happened to her. Thank you for your insight.
