My daughter just did the "Relay For Life" in Lawrence, KS this Friday night---6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. She was a team captain so she had to stay there all night. Her team raised around $2,200 and place third. The entire Relay raised around $35,000. Meg said to stay awake she walked, and ended up walking around 9 miles. Went to see her yesterday and she was so sore she could barely walk down Mass Street. Couldn't even keep up with her old parental figures. Cancer fund raising is close to my heart. My father died 2 yrs. ago from cancer. He had been afraid of it all his life because he watched his father die of bone cancer. In the ended his fears came true. My Mom says he wished it upon himself.
