I've been reading - and I'm shocked at the amount of deaths from racing - we only hear about the big horse names ....this is copied from a site I just read where they're blasting Races such as the Derby
Quote:
So, how many other equine deaths are there every year that go unnoticed in a sport that's largely ignored on a day-to-day basis?
Let's just take one track, like Del Mar near San Diego: 55 deaths from 2004-06, says the San Diego Union-Tribune. |
55 DEATHS from ONE RACE TRACK....

I feel bad - my husband used to like going to the Track near us in Houston.....I admit it was fun winning money - but NEVER AGAIN will I bet on a horse race.
