Murphy threw up a few weeks ago. It had bright red spots in it, but not like a foam.) It freaked me out. Took him to the emergency vet. The vet told me that sometimes it happens. While straining to throw up they burst a vessel. They took x-rays to make sure he didn't swallow anything. Then, she gave him a shot to stop him from getting sick and she put fluid under the skin.
I never had that happen to my other Yorkie that I had for 14 years. It kept bothering me that he threw up blood. I took Murphy to his regular vet two days later. He had tonsillitis. (Never knew dogs had tonsils.) Murphy had been doing a lot of reverse sneezing.( I even told that to the emergency vet.) Murphy was on antibiotics, now he is fine. His reverse sneezing is a lot better.
Hope all is well with Mia.
