I don't use a toothbrush at all - not even a finger one. Instead, I wrap a piece of gauze around my index finger and use that. It is very easy to get to all the teeth - even the back ones and you can make sure you "brush" both the front and back of the tooth as well as the very back part. Try it, the pups are usually much more cooperative with this method as well.
