Edie was born to a first-time Yorkie mother who was an only pet. The owner had owned Yorkies for decades as pets. I think she had only bred her female Yorkies a few times.
Edie and her sister were raised in the house--in Maine you don't leave any dogs outdoors. When I went to see her, she had the run of the house (except for the carpeted areas).
I guess I would consider her a "responsible in home breeder" but I have also referred to her as a backyard breeder because it was not a kennel-type business. |
