I wonder if she could have tonsillitis. Did she throw it up, or cough it up? When Maddie had tonsillitis, she coughed up foam, though it wasn't bloody. She would also do a honking sound that was much like reverse sneezing, only different. Is Mia coughing at all? Is she eating okay?
Once (a different time) Maddie threw up bright red blood...they never did figure out what caused that and put her on a med that was supposed to "bandage" the bleed and heal it...and that worked.
