I've only been to Vancouver a couple of times and without my Rexy & Rowdy, so I can't recommend any dog friendly places. I do remember lots of patio cafes, and they may allow pets.
I think Vancouver is a great city to visit! Are you going over to Victoria? I really love Victoria too.
