Oh Amanda, I hear you!!! I got sooo OCD about the temp thing, and it just never happened like it was supposed to for Ruby. I think we just feel so helpless and we want to DO SOMETHING so we keep taking their temp. like its a crystal ball or something. It just isn't and we are left to wait and worry.
My Coco stress eats, and Ruby chews her legs too when she is stressed. If it was any time but "birth" time, I'd suggest you rinse her legs in a little cool water just in case she has a little allergic reaction to the grass etc. -- but you know that this is just her responding to all the changes going on in her body.
We empathize with you, the April Puppy ladies have been there too. Hang on. She can't be pregnant forever. (When I had trouble potty training my son, I used to tell myself he would be trained by the time he was 10. It took the pressure off, and he WAS trained by 10. LOL He'd kill me if he knew I told).
