Having lost 2 (not yorkies) in under a month, for me, getting SoCo (between the 2 passing) was a lifesaver, he helped assuage(sp?) our grief and allow us to function. My husband wanted to wait longer, but the timing was perfect as we brought SoCo home on Monday and lost the 2nd dog on Friday. Both dogs were under 6 years old. So I can truly say I understand your feelings but IMHO Benny is probably the best medicine to ease your hurt at losing Mogli.
As for Benny's name, I think it's sweet. A lovely way to honour Mogli's passing, and it leaves an opening for a cute nickname. I wish you the best of luck tomorrow and I'll think of you when we're picking our 2nd yorkie at the airport tomorrow afternoon. Please be sure and post pictures when Benny gets home!
