I will see if I can find something that you can print up and take to your vet about the 12 hour fast not being necessary.
Just find a place who will do the bile acid test, and then you will have peace of mind. If possible, do not give her any heartworm or flea stuff at least 2 weeks before the BAT because it is possible for that to skew results.
An overnight fast would not be a big deal since that's probably 8-9 hours without food right there, but I'm just saying that it's not necessary.
