I have the same problem. I have carriers and I just got a new dog sling. You wear it like a ourse. It keeps your dog close to you, but they hang and their feet are free, not bunched up in a traditional bag. I got it from crown royal yorkies website. I also have a stroller. I love those too, hahaha
