I was once told by a silky breeder that yorkies and silkys are two types different dogs, is that what is meant when saying cottony or silky coats? I am confused, my Bia looks like a yorkie pup, she has all the same color markings as most do, but because her hair is greasy looking does that mean she is not a yorkie but a silky terrier?
A cottony coat is one that seem always dull , it doen't mean that your dog is not a Yorkie .
Silk coat is one that naturally reflect the light , even after few days without a bath . Here is an example of one of mine .
