I too have been on Synthroid for years. When the generic came out for Snythroid, my husband's insurance company would no longer pay for Synthroid, I had to get the generic version Levothyroxin. I take a 75 mcg tablet. When I switched to the generic, at lst I was more tired and just didn't feel the same as I did on the Snythroid. But I stuck it out and now it's fine. Maybe you should ask your Dr. if he has samples of Synthroid instead of the generic. It might make a difference. I know my sister takes generic Snythroid also and she's had to have the dosage changed a lot of times cause she has different symptoms, mostly tiredness and heart palpitations. I'd go back to your Dr. and let him know how you've been feeling. Sounds to me like your not on the right dosage. "Good Luck"
