My 4 yr old son has a bicycle race at preschool today that I cannot miss. My neighbor will watch Kallie for me but I do not want to miss the birth either.. Oh this is pure TORTURE!!! I don't know how you ladies do it regularly... Hey another question... After the puppies get here, what do I do about sleeping arrangements.. Do I leave puppies in the xpen with mama all night or do I being them into the box in my room or do the puppies need to be sepereated from mama at night?? Kallie is used to sleeping in her crate at night so she doesn't roam free to pee in the house.. Still don't trust her and Stewie completely...
The puppies need to be with the momma continuously throughout the first few weeks. Do not separate them at night-they need to nurse every few hours. For the first few days and nights, I monitor the pups every hour or two to make sure they are all nursing good and being taken care of by the momma. My whelping box is in my living room, so I sleep on the couch for the first few nights.

Good luck with your delivery!
