Honestly, I work from 9-5 usually with a 1 hour break, I don't generally let him out during my 3-4 hr shifts and if I happen to go upstairs (when at home) to potty myself, I wake him up. Sometimes he's so out he doesn't wake up till I give him a little pat on the head. That's probably what Leo's doing most of the day too!

Right now I'm at our trailer and SoCo spends the day sleeping on the couch. Sometimes our bed. So I'm pretty sure having observed this behaviour for several months now, Leo is probably a bed bug too All I'm trying to say is unless your seeing a major reason to rehome him, (which I haven't seen) than I don't think there's any reason to. It's normal to miss him, but really, he's probably too busy snoozing to miss you most of the day
