I went through this for about 2 months when I first got Carlos. It was so much work I really didn't know what I was getting into. I felt like I was not being a good enough mother to him because I could not spend a lot of time with him. I felt guilty for getting him and thought that I should rehome him and then that made me feel even worse for thinking about rehoming him. Things got better after about 3 months of having him. It just take time to readjust to having someone that relies on you.
