revolution medication??? does anyone use revolution on their yorkies??
for some reason, i'm under the impression that it's not fully trusted yet even though haven't researched it or anything.... i think it's awesome that it claims to prevent fleas, ticks AND heartworm... because that way i wouldn't have to buy two separate medications! however, i want to make sure it's safe for Kash.
the reason i ask about revolution is not just because i don't want to administer two different meds... it's because it's really hard to get him to eat the chewable heartguard. the single doses are way too big so i have to break them up into like 20 tiny pieces! and then he doesn't like the taste or something... because he spits it out. if i leave him with the pieces in his food bowl all day, usually when i come home from work some of the pieces have been eaten, but then i usually have to mix the pieces with canned food to trick him into eating it. and i'm afraid to give him the pill-form because i don't know how good he is at taking pills (since i've never had to give him pills)... the vet recommended pill pockets, but the pill pockets are also pretty big.
i just feel that an "all-in-one" medication will be the easiest. and wanted to see if anyone else uses it, how well it works, and if there are any bad reactions to the medication. my vet doesn't even carry revolution for dogs... only cats. i'd have to get it elsewhere (like 1-800-Pet-Meds) and they need a prescription from my vet!
this revolution for dogs seems controversial...
