They're cancelling the policy because they are unable to have you removed as a driver. If you weren't listed on her policy...they would allow her to keep it.
Reckless driving is rated the same as a drunk driving conviction in the car insurance world because often times...a dui was reduced to reckless driving in court.
I deal with driving records and my employees. More than once I have been informed the insurance company would not insure a particular driver.
Btw, we did obtain coverage for an employee with a reckless ticket on his driving record from State Farm.
