Like the previous poster before me said; don't use the Banfield clinics for ANYTHING!!!! They vaccinate dogs WHILE under anesthesia!!!
They almost killed one of my own dogs years ago before I stopped using them. Google the term "Banfield sucks" and you will find many, many complaints lodged against them! Any vet will do a complete blood panel. More importantly is how experienced the vet is with small breed dogs and how educated the staff is who will assist during the operation. Extra small instruments should be used, the dog's vitals should be monitored during the operation via machine and IV drip (ideally, he should also lay on a warming mat) and Isofluorine gas should be used to subdue the dog.
