coming out and telling youre significant other "i need a little space" is honest yes, but you need to throw in a little "security".... the problem with this statement is that it is one of the ones that many of us use to slowly break up with someone, and if that is not youre intention DO NOT USE THIS EXACT PHRASE. (my fiance used that phrase on me when we were still bf and gf, well i thought it was OVER) so...... speaking from the OPPOSIT side, you need to throw in a little reasurance likke "i think everything is going so great with us....."
"I know we have a realy strong relationship...."
