Sandy, I am glad to hear the momma is starting to eat more. I am not positive about giving her ham, I have heard that is not good for dogs. I know the chicken is good. Chopped up boiled eggs would be good or a scrambled egg.
Most likely you don't have to worry about the babies being constipated at this age. With my litters I usually don't see any poop at all until the pups are 3 weeks old and even then I have to catch it before the momma sees it because the momma usually eats it as fast as it comes out. I start weaning process at around 4 weeks. I grind up some dry puppy food in a blender and just put down the ground up dry food in a small bowl and the pups will come over and start licking it. Be sure to leave out a small bowl of water also. Weaning should be a slow process where they can eat small amounts of food in the beginning while still nursing momma. As they get older they will start eating more dry food and nurse off momma less. During the transition from momma to eating solid food you need to monitor their bowel movement more. Sometimes they will get constipated or get loose stools. You should check their bottoms regularly then.
We would love to see pictures when you get a chance.
