I wasn't being rude, I just don't think people realize there are so many homeless/starving people here. I didn't until this year realize that people STARVE to death in the US. Just because there are programs doesn't mean someone homeless or starving can apply or knows how to do it.
You have to have an income in order to spend it on food. I've helped mentally ill, I've donated to the homeless and I help mentor kids with reading problems, I'm just saying there's a lot that the US needs to do and just because you don't see it or read about doesn't make it go away.
