I thought I'd jump in on this, I'm new to feeding raw but see alot of people try to aim for $1 a pound but it's the kind of thing that you could always do really inexpensively is you know the right person. For instance, I have a bil who hunts, so I'm going to ask for the parts of the deer that they don't want. Some people have put adds on craigslist saying they will take any meat that has freezer burn. So there are a lot of things you can do to make it less expensive. Of course, I suppose if you wanted to you could always feed your dog the best of the best like steak and things and then it could get pretty expensive. Personally, I'm trying to aim for that $1 average. The chicken I have gotten has all been under a $1/lb but I expect that I'll have to pay a little more for pork or beef. Hope that helps!
