Just make sure you have a safe haven for the kitty to hang out in until he/she gets acclimated. Your Yorkie will probably want to play with kitty. Kitty will probably have other ideas unless he/she was raised around dogs. My cats all learned to "live up" when the Yorkies came. Kitties and Yorkies love to play, but kitties also love their space to snuggle up in a sun beam uninterrupted!
