Lisa and Piccolo | I just noticed this post....... I have posted several threads about luxating patellas.... My Shelby has had surgery for this. LP has different grades. Depending on it's severity it can require surgery.... or there could be issues later. Please read up on the many threads that are posted on Luxating patellas... lots of good info.
Also, if your vet suggests you go to a orthopedic vet, I can suggest an AWESOME one in Cincinnati. That is who we used. You have to have a vet referral to get in to see him, but he is well worth it.
